About the Social Media Hats: Assessment

Never stop learning.

The capacity to assess and get the big picture of what is going on is important so that we can have a general idea or where we should go from now on.  However, the devil is in the details and social media activities often require a closer look.

The first step to an awesome communication is learning. By learning, we get to understand what is important,  what is not and what we should definitely give our whole attention to.

The first place to look: insights. Social channels provide us with easy to use and informative tools to get a clear idea of how a specific post performed,  how advertising is working for us, or if a specific topic is definitely making a point. Comments will always be a great place to start for opening a conversation.

Keeping an eye on the rest of the “engagement” activities will also give us a general picture of our next strategy, approach or idea, attuning ourselves to a better understanding of what our audience expect to see, or the type of information they really enjoy consuming, whether in text, image or video form, or even a mix of them all.

This is why we need to work together with all that is available to us out there: reactions, responses, behaviors. Data.

Next up: Opinions. It’s always better to find out.
